The newest addition to our family is Duke Adams. He is a German Shepard Lab mix. We got him when he was just a weee baby at 5 weeks old. The owner had a litter of twelve and could not handle them all. My family just had to put our dog, Mollie, of nine years down. I still think about her a lot. The attachment to an animal is amazing. It's like the animal becomes a part of your family, and Mollie was part of us. A few weeks after we put her down we saw an add on craigstlist. My sister called and we picked him up that weekend. He was very nervous on the car ride home, he slept most of the time. He is so precious. We took him to the pet store and everyone loved him. I mean, who doesn't love a puppy? For the first week, he had not had any accidents in the house. We spoke too soon. He does have a few accidents here and there but overall, he is a loving and playful dog. Sometimes, I will admit, he is a lot to handle. I love playing with him but there are times where I look forward to his nap time. He is growing up so fast and becoming more playful. We finally put his red collar on him and it fits him perfectly :) I will keep some pictures of him posted from time to time. The picture on the right is the most recent one, taken yesterday, April 30, 2012.
